Workshop objectives:
|

|
| |
- To review: (a) past tsunami research plans, (b) current tsunami research, (c) Federal agency plans for future tsunami research, (d) research needs resulting from the 2004 India Ocean Tsunami, and (e) experimental research capabilities in the US.
- To develop a Strategic Research Framework for the development of tsunami resilient communities based on the reviews above and input from all participants including Federal and State agencies and academic researchers.
- To document and disseminate the resulting review and strategic research framework to the tsunami research community.
